If you thought poker was just a mans' game, then your eyes need to be open, to all the women poker players. If you watch the tournaments on television, you will notice that there are many women playing against the men, and doing quite well I might add.
It is a fun game, one you need to practice to get good at, learn the strategies from the ones who know what they are talking about, but in time you will win, and then you are hooked. I know the first time I won $40 I was ecstatic and that was first prize, that I didn't have to put any money in to play. How perfect is that? That was an online tournament, playing with my frequent player points and now I will be playing in the next segment. Maybe I'll win, maybe I won't, but either way I enjoy playing the game.

If you are a novice at playing poker, there are sites which you just need to click onto, and you will learn all the rules for the various games, then you can pick the one you are most interested in playing. In time, after playing one, like Texas Holdem, you might want to try another one, maybe Omaha, which is similar, but has a little different slant to it.

Click on Google and type in poker sites and these sites will come up, take your time and choose one that sounds the best for you. You may in time get on to more than one.
