I checked on the turn to get him to CB.. didn't work but got 5 more out of him at the river
and i flat called on the flop.. i appeared weak to get him to bet.

Don't hate it but I think checkraising the flop would be better, especially if you raise really small to induce a call or bluff.

Nice pot but agreed that check raising flop you might get it in before scare Jack comes off. Im sure if you knew what he had you probly play it different? You reraise preflop and flop the nuts...oh what a nice thing to have happen.

I`m curious why you 3bet preflop?

Villain raises from EP which means his range (something like 88+,AJ+,KQ) hits this flop pretty hard and from his point of view it hits your range very hard too, since you 3bet preflop. His cbet is pretty strong because of that and your hand is actually pretty vulnerable, any T,J,Q,K or A could put you behind, make you split the pot or make the board 2 scary to get action from 2 pair hands. Therefore I think you should raise here. If he has a medium/weak hand like 88/99/AQ that he decided to cbet you won`t get much action on the turn if you call, so just calling in the hope that you can extract more value on later streets doesn`t look like a very good option.
