that was bad, but he had one out.

the hand I just played, I flop the nut flush.
this guy goes all in with pocket 6's.
so the only way he can win is if he hits both the turn and the river with the other two 6's.
which is what he does.

what do you call it when the person has to hit two cards in the deck?
it's like 1/25th of an out?

thats what you call runnerrunner quads. But after hitting his set on the turn, he had 10 outs, because if the board pairs on the river you lose against his full house.

see situation below, he has 2.82% chance to win the hand, which on the flop compares to about 3/4 of an out. Pretty fair to call that a bad beat!

oh your right, I didn't think about him hitting a full house with the board.
so he actually has a lot more outs on the river than he had on the turn.
