Since I have started playing online poker I have taken some bad beats and sometimes after taking a string of bad beats I had that dumb thought that the Online Poker site which I was playing on when it happens is out to get me and its setup.I think when we all start out online we ALL most likely might have this pop through our heads from time to time when miricles seem to keep happening to other players and you watch your money go to luckers. I never ever think like this anymore and its been a while since I had these ridiculous thoughts but I know some people may still have this kind of nonsence run through their brains. I recommend playing some live games just so you can see how sick it can really be.
once a week I play with a few friends from work and its not a big deal money wise as we only play 5 bucks each. The money is there just so we play properly as a matter of fact. Anyways we are playing 4 handed and I get dealt 66 and call a small raise flop is 6KQ rainbow so I check and call a pot size bet Turn is another K so I have a full house now and am pretty sure Im a winner so I check again and he pushes. Of course Im thinking I may be beat but I still have to call. He had KQ for a better full house. Not such a terrible beat here. Anyways Im out and just waiting/watching for the next game. As Im watching a few hands later A high flush floped vs K high flush flopped :r We start another game eventually and a few hand in it gets worse for me. J9 suited I call a small raise from a very wacky player.
Flop is 99J..woohoo the nuts??
I check and he bets I call and the turn is what could have made a flush as now 3 three clubs were out
A bigger bet and again I just call
The river is a K and he bets again but not a huge amount. Im thinking to myself I hope I didnt let this guy get to the river with Pocket KK for a terrible beat. After thinking I decide to reraise and then he reraises all in and turns up JJ. Are you kidding me Back to back games I lose full to full and the second game we both flop it. What are the odds J9vs JJ and the flop is J99. Anyway just thought I would share my sick beats that I took and remind any no belivers that this game can be very sick and that the poker rooms have nothinjg to gain when they make an extra couple bucks inrake really.

you made some good points I think, bad beats is part of poker. Don`t let it influence your game, its easy to say but tough to do, that`s why so many people have problems with it. Also, people have subjective memory, lets say you go all-in AA vs 22 50 times, you win 40 and lose 10, as expected. But your brain tricks you into thinking you lost more than you should by remembering the lost ones much better than the ones you won.

I also agree that poker rooms have very little to gain by screwing up, they might earn a few extra bucks, but they risk their profitable business. Not a good pay-off for sure.

I have been taking some beats latetly and seen some as well and it seems every second hand someone thinks its a conspiracy against them for their stack. Im playing NL 25 right now and players are whining for 10 bucks meanwhile after doubling through im getting 2 outered on the river for my whole 50 bucks and then they say NH....lolol imagining righ now how it would feel to get rivered for 250,000
