-usually I fold this. Table was playing any two it seeemed so I thought I would come along. Is it an Okay play to call with these low 1 gapping suited cards. I know you can get lucky but in the long run is the correct play to call a raise in this spot.
The pot is 2.10 and .25 is mine..Its costing me .50 to call[/hand]

Am I fish?

yes, u are...but that's besides the point.

it is always good to mix up your game. if your opponents know what you have b/c you only play/bet certain cards in certain ways, then you are in trouble. just dont play marginal hands too often, tho. as for the call of this raise, even if it was not +EV, it definitely was "+table image."

this is a "fish" thought process. if ev1 at the table is playing poorly, are you going to play poorly, too? play wise poker, and you will feast on them. if ev1 truly is playing horribly, moving to a more predictable table can help protect your BR.

I think you are in a too early position to call this.
Besides, i think if you want to play this, you should raise to scare your opponents, and maybe even raise again on flop if getting called. Then it could be nice bluf

I agree with Noble here. There are very few set rules in poker, but you should never open-limp. If you want to play this hand, raise. Having said that, I don`t think you can play this hand, specially not at a loose table. If the table is loose, you should actually play a little tighter, because you`ll almost never pick up the pot preflop.

And no you definitely can`t call this reraise, you think you`re getting good odds, but you`re not, coz your hand won`t make a strong hand often enough, and when you do hit two pair, straight or flush, it`s often bottom two pair, the lower end of the straight, or 2nd flush, in which case you`ll lose part of your stack, or you`re whole stack.

Also note that one of your opponents is short stacked, which makes your implied odds lower (you can`t win that much of him when u do hit a great hand).

This table was very very crazy. I had sat back for a while and was folding very frequently. I had noticed tight players waiting for primo and their big raises pre getting called by 3-5 players and Aces/Kings and even Broadways were second best when so many players see the river. I felt if I was to leave then that would make me a scared player and have been through that already. If I walk away I am walking away from free easy money. I usually play fairly tight seeing approx 15-20 percent of flops and had a tight table image at this table and am certain I had been robbed for a few buck by this time. Adjusting was my goal so I thought to limp fold for a few rounds and see some flops. I know if I can make a hand on this table I will stack anyone with top pair.

I definitely wouldnt walk away, these tables are the most profitable. Sure your KK/AA will get outflopped sometimes, but on average you`ll make a shit load.

Just think about it this way: let`s say you play 5 guys and they all see the flop with any 2, and you only play JJ+,AJ+/KQ, there is no way you wouldn`t make money in the long run here, coz if you would lose, at least one of the other guys would win (as its a zero sum game, if we ignore rake). That would imply that its better to play any 2 than the range mentioned above which is obviously not the case.

Adjusting your play based on your opponents is good, as long as you make the right adjustment, i.e. when the table is tight, play loose (you`ll pick up lots of blinds preflop or on the flop cbetting), when the table is loose, play tight (your edge doesnt come from picking up blinds or flop cbets, but from actually making a hand, so play cards that make strong hands often).

Playing loose on a loose table is actually a very common mistake, somehow it seems to make sense intuitively, if others play very loose than I can get away with playing loose too. Don`t do it, its mentioned in almost every pokerbook that this is a bad idea!

So don`t leave the table, play tight and disciplined, and take their money!

Don't like limp-call, but in some cases it could be OK, if you're deep enough and against a big fish.

You have to raise to win his entire stack.
