I think you have a gut-shot straight draw, not an open ended one. I would fold, as i don't think you will have the highest flush when another hearts falls, and your chance on the straight is only 9%.

BTW, if you want to post a hand, read this, makes it way more easy.

Yeas I think its way to much to call w second pair/draws. Im waiting for a better spot for sure. Even with an open str8 draw I am still folding I think. If you hit your heart you might be beat and if you hit a 7 you might still be beat as well.

I would reraise AI on the flop.

As played, I would call all-in on the turn as well, you're getting a great price and you have a lot of outs probably.

you have to call $7 for a $28.5 pot, which means you need to win roughly 25% of the time to be able to call. You have 9 outs for the flush, 4 for the straight, 2 for trips, and 3 for two pair. Your two pair outs are not good if someone has a 7, or if its a club, or if someone has a set, so lets only count 1 of those. Your trip outs will be good most of the time, maybe count 1.5, your straight outs might split the pot sometimes and the club might not be an out, count 2.5 for these. Your flush outs are good most of the times, since a hearts FD is only a small part of your opponents range, the 6 might give someone a FH though, so lets count 7 outs. Total is 11, which means you have about 23% chance to hit and win. There is still a small change you have the best hand right now, maybe 10% or so, in which case you`ll win at least 50% of the time (if both your opponents have 12 outs on you), which gives you another 5% equity, so your total equity would be 28%.

The best way to analyse these type of problems if using pokerstove, a free programm that you can download at www.pokerstove.com. I don`t have it on my laptop but I`ll put some examples on the forum soon.

Conclusion is I think you can call, but its pretty close.

I wouldn`t call a 3bet with 89s preflop by the way.

Board: Th 9c 5h 6c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 29.930% 29.58% 00.35% 37003 432.00 { 9h8h }
Hand 1: 34.582% 33.99% 00.59% 42510 744.00 { 99+, 66-55, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, ATs, KhQh, KhJh, KTs, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 87s, ATo, KTo, QTo, JTo, T9o, 87o }
Hand 2: 35.488% 35.24% 00.25% 44075 312.00 { 99+, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, KhQh }

against these ranges you have 30% equity. I took { 99+, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, KhQh } for the preflop raisers range and { 99+, 66-55, AhKh, AhQh, AhJh, ATs, KhQh, KhJh, KTs, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 87s, ATo, KTo, QTo, JTo, T9o, 87o } for the preflop callers range, this might be a little wide, if you make it tighter you`re equity won`t change that much though coz you would get rid of hands that beat you as well as hands that you beat.

Conclusion is that you can call.

Let me know if you need help with pokerstove, I really think everyone should use it, it provides real good insight and the best thing is its free!!!
