If you make a flush on the river are you always supposed to bet it? I thought so but would like to know what you guys think.

I thought so but would like to know what you guys think. I don`t think you are always supposed to bet the river if you make your flush, it depends on the action on the flop/turn and the opponent. In this case, since the flop is very dry, I think his most likely hand is a king that he might check behind on a riverflush card, but I think he would still call a bet so I would bet it. If no diamond comes and he bets then you have a tricky spot on the river, not sure if you can call another bet since your kicker is weak. Do you have any stats on this player?
