The tourney started at 20:00. I had been logged on to Pokerinfo.com since about 18:20. The pw came to my inbox at 19:41:59. I was not aware that the pw had been released until others started to enroll on UB at about 19:45. I was unable to access my inbox due to server congestion until about 19:56. I was unable to read my message and get the pw until about 20:06. By then it was too late to register.
Near the time of pw release, i noticed that there were less than 100 registered users on-line, but something close to 800(!!!!!!) non-registered users. Sadly, your server could not handle that volume. I might venture to guess that those 800 were pw thieves, mostly from certain unmentioned countries of origin.
My suggestions are several to choose from. 1) release the pw sooner than 20 minutes before the tourney, 2) have UB offer late registration, 3) get a larger server, 4) block IP's from those countries notorious for pw thieves (any registered user from those countries can still be place on an "allowed" list), 5) automatically kicked off non-registered users after one minute during pw times....the one minute window gives ample time for people to log-on, 6) block new registration within one hour before a tourney........and, finally, (and my personal favorite), 7) give only you and me the pw, and we will play HU for the $200.
