how should I play this hand? Should I fold to 3bet? Should I 4bet? Bet the flop, raise the turn? call the river? The villan is 22/6 3bet 17.8 in only 198 hands.

Thanks

I think I would have just pushed the flop here, pot is so big, but you can call 2, river I would call odds are 2 good to pass, given the turn action he could easily bluff this ace

Unfortunately a 3bet% over such a sample doesn't tell us much. Also 3bet tendencies are very position dependent, so it's hard to tell what to do without more info. We do know villain is probably a fish though based on his VPIP/PFR stats, which are much more reliable over such a sample.

So, as we are utg+1, villains 3bet range is probably something like JJ+, AQs, AK(s). Therefore we should never 4bet in this spot. Calling is fine as long as we get enough implied odds, which seems to be the case here.

Calling the flop is ok, because villain probably c-betting his entire range. Raising is a big mistake, because we only get action from better hands.

As we're oop, we can't bet the turn, just another example of the importance of position.

The river is an easy fold, as there are no more hands in his range we beat.

@ Japmaster

this is a full ring game, in a 6 max game pushing the flop is probably best
