I see players show their cards when they win a hand, specially if they win the hand by bluffing.

Does anyone here do that?

I never show my cards, I don`t want to give away free information. The only time it could be good to show is if you have a read on someone that allows you to predict the way that he will adjust when he sees you makes a certain move, i.e., let`s say you know a guy who goes mental if you bluff him once than you could consider showing after you bluff and he folds.

I usually only show when i'm being tight and the rest of the table too.

This allows me to steal some pots so i do it 1/4 times with a bluff.

And, like Japmaster said, it might help to put someone on tilt.

I sometimes do it when I want to establish an image I can exploit later. For example, a player is raising a lot on my big blind. I will fold and show my particularly bad hands like a 72 or 93, which I was going to do anyway. Then on future attempts by this player, or others, to raise and steal my big blind, I will three-bet with a much wider range. If I want to establish an extremely tight image, I might even fold and show a more marginal hand like a weak ace, king or suited connector.

I like to do this especially when I'm up against weak players and the players are making their preflop steals quite large, especially late in the tournament and they didn't adjust to opening for smaller amounts. "Re-stealing" is so valuable in those spots, and sometimes showing your cards early on in spots that really give nothing away the opposing player isn't already finding out from you folding can be lead to a much easier road to cashes and final tables and victories.

I never show my hands. The less information the other players get from me, the better.
