Should I have bet the flop? The reason I didnt is because I didnt have the Ace diomonds. Now how many times have we all flopped a flush and got over excited. get a big pot going and lose to a 4 flushed board or the old river boat fillup??
I would have givin up my stack if no other diomond came but thought better of making a big pot without seeing more cards. If he shiped the flop I was snap calling but he didnt and I got away without to much loss

Why would he bet so much? could mabye be a very frustrated QJ or set? With a higher flush why not just raise. Well anyway I folded but had to end my session very shortly afterwards because this fold messed me up and didnt feel able to make right choices.

I agree on short handed to open raise but on full ring I am finding that its easier to stack opponents by limp calling to see the flop. My reasoning for this is that if you open raise 77 you will always get reraise by any PP thats bigger and AK/AQs wil also reraise alot. Then you dont get to see your flop.
The question that I have been trying to find the answer to is.. Is it more profitable to limp/call a raise because you would have raised that amount anyway or raise to fold and not see the flop? FYI this my thinking for 99 and under in full ring and 55 and under shorthanded. Its alot easier to bet and take it on the flop shorthanded.
If you limp 77 and get raised by AK...that raiser gets called by A 10 and you call your limp. if you hit your set you will probly get paid off by alot of flops. by multiple players. I guess what Im saying is that if your going to hit your set 8.5:1 and are forced to fold it preflop alot then it really cuts down your odds. I watch alot of Telivised poker and have noticed big time players are never folding Pockets. They do however mostly always raise preflop. Then because the amount of money in the pot the end up losing more when they miss.

Definity raw talent dosnt just go away so i agree that he will get another shot. What teams like to go after players with baggage?? Oh yeah the raiders do LOL hopefull someone can see past the obvious lack of respect he has shown his former club. How do you take that kind of money and just decide to get fat and not care you have been paid millions of dollers to be a professional athlete that has resposibilities one of which is fiitness level. I think he will really have to shape up and show alot of promise. I like to always think the best of people so this can possibly be some kind of eating disorder or mabye hes been hangin out with Ricky Williams and got a serious case of the MUNCHIES.

Hello, Welcome to the fourm. By thinking through every move you make as well as every other players moves at the table will make you a better player. Trying every hand you play and also learning from your mistakes and not repeating them would be another obvious suggestion. Easier said then done though I assure you

You call a small raise with 78 diomonds and the flop comes 2 diomonds Ace of Diomonds K ing of clubs
How much can we call with only a flush draw without being a fish. All we have is the flush draw.

.20-.40 6Max
You have been watching the action and folding alot of medium hands in bad position and watching players raise 4 times the BB with connecters and other not premium hands and you pick up AK in second position and raise to 1.60. next player folds and the Small blind reraises to 3.80. Im mostly folding here unless Ive seen him reraise and showdown crap. Is this an instant call for anyone? Im always worried about hitting what looks to be a safe flop King high or A high and being up against AAA or KKK and then have to make calls or bet out. Also if someone 3bets QQ and I have AK and the flop is QAX i will be in tough spots.
Any thoughts.........

When I first started playing Online poker I was playing 6 player max tables and after a while thought that by playing full ring it would be more profitable because I would have to pay less blinds to see more hands. I did well but it can be somewhat of a boring grind because most of the other players are thinking the same way.
Its seems to be difficult to get fishy action cause most of the time everyones playing quite snug and not alot of bluffing/semibluffing is taking place. Alot of over pockets vs low set type hands happen. I have since started to play 6MAX again and have to say that I am doing alot better than in the past. Just wanted to get everyones view on short handed vs full ring because Im thinking I have wasted alot of time playing full ring over the last while.
1. What do you prefer to play and why?

Yeah I was never folding but the reason I posted this one is because I would like to look at opponents play and not mine in this case. 45 suited ion this flop...how to proceed?

I think the lesson here is that even fish get real hands once in a while. I think its still very unlucky though. I agree with Japmaster about folding preflop. 3 betting A10off is usually not a good idea vs 2 more players but I might think I will be good flopping two pair. After the raise and reraise its a must muck with not set I think.
Very unlucky flop anyways

Well exactly my thinking too! Still quite a rookie in Omaha and after this hand I start to concider rethinking flops lkie this. Although it looks great cause I have top set I hold no club and no other draw. Really I need to pair the board to be totally comfortable and think mabye just calling the flop to see the turn which would give me an oppertunity to fold to a scary card. We are in a raised pot here so a scary card to me would be any
King or Ace x2 (giving someone a higher set which happens frequently in raised pots i find)
Seven x4
Nine x4
Ten x4
Queen x2
Clubs not already accounted for 5
So thats 23 cards that can turn or river that will make me second best.
I called and lost and think I learned quite a bit from this hand after having to think about it. I dont think I had enough backup to commit my stack here and most likley wont get it in with only top set for that amount again. After seeing opponents cards I think I had it in good for this instance but it could have been alot worse. I think he played the hand bad having only 7 or 8 outs but I can think of alot of hands that had me totally crushed.

Ok so im assuming im behind. Do I just accept the fact that its a drawing game and put it in here because of my odds or wait for another spot. Im certain that the player after me is going to call his remaining as well.
